Moving Day!

It's not nearly as exciting as it sounds. Ha! I just thought I'd give a short update since I've been gone from Blogland for so long. It looks like we will be "moving in" (that means leaving Sister Fender's house and going to stay at our own for good--we hope!) next Tuesday. Wa-Hoo!!! We'll all pile up in the communal bedroom (ha!) and stay there full time until we FINISH that crazy Monstrosity of ours. :-)

As of yesterday, we have Internet and phone service there (I'll try to send out e-mails with the new phone number soon), so that seems exciting!

Whoops--out of time. Headed back to the Monstrosity to get some work done, then we'll be in Phenix City for service in the morning, Goodwater tomorrow night, then A DAY OFF on Monday for the kids' birthday, then Tuesday the Shulers will head out and we'll get Sister Fender's house all put together and MOVE IN to the Monstrosity. Then we'll be able to work on it "full time." Riiiiiiiight. ;-)

It's just sad that we live only 3 1/2 hours away now, but still won't be able to be with the kids for their birthday. :-( --Just as well; as usual I don't have their gifts ready on time anyway. Hey! Maybe we can have a little party next week when Aunt Sue is here! That will give us something to do together.

Today hasn't exactly panned out as expected, Mom--so we'll try to do a REAL party at your house with Aunt Sue. But... is that NEXT WEEK???? Please tell me it's the week after that! Ha!

Jessa, Joe was born on Katie's first birthday, so they always share a party. Sam was the oddball born in November, so he has his own party. He usually makes out like a bandit on Katie & Joe's birthday though because people feel sorry for him that "everybody else" is having a birthday and he's the only one who's not--so he sometimes ends up with goodies then, too. Spoiled brat. ;-)

That'll be the plan. I'll make a cake (hopefully it will be better than the one I made for Sam!). And we'll get some hats or something. Maybe I can find some more of those whistles that James will never forget. HA! And maybe I'll have their gifts done by then. And yes, yes it is NEXT WEEK. That's why I say MAYBE I'll have their gifts done.
